Fast and accurate speech recognition September 4, 2010

Not only is this much faster than typing, it's more accurate because you don't have to worry about how words are spelt - even words like subpoenaed! Correcting errors is a breeze. I find it much easier to write using Dragon NaturallySpeaking as I can pick up notes or flick through pages of a book as I write, because I don't need my hands to operate the keyboard. I dictated this using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

What better way to write this review than to actually use the software itself? I bought this software around two months ago after experiencing the usual RSI type symptoms. Basically, I needed something which could take down anything from e-mails to documents. Like most speech dictation products, you have to give it a little time to get used your voice and you also have to get used to things such as microphone placement and having to manually say things e.g. punctuation. However, once you get beyond the initial two or three weeks of use this product is simply excellent.
I would say that this software is around 95 to 99% accurate which is more than good enough for entering documents or e-mails. Indeed, it may even be better than my typing! Therefore, if you're prepared to give it a little time to get used you then I can wholeheartedly recommend this product. It has saved my right hand, and I have more or less switched to using this all the time even if I'm not experiencing pains in my hand.
Given the price of this product, I would recommend even those without RSI to consider using it -- after all prevention is better than cure.

This is the third purchase of Dragon dictates V10 I have purchased in the last couple of months as friends are so impressed with it that I have ordered copies for them. There are two more friends on the brink of purchasing this program based on the remarkable speech to text which is truly astonishing. The program can be used literally after installing and reading the training page after which you can go directly into word, outlook or Excel and use it with only a few mistakes as the program learns.
I have just written this review using this program that is how easy it is! However, it did not allow me to correct a couple of spelling errors I made while using it which I reverted back to the keyboard to correct. For the price I believe this is fantastic value and of course Amazon played their part in getting it to me quickly (and to my friends as well).

Have only just started useing this software and have found it to do all that it claims. This is the basic version but it can handle most of my needs like speaking to the MS Office packages Word, Excel, Access and even text into Adobe Photoshop. Excellent product and becoming more accurate each time I use it. Buy It Now before the VAT increase.

This is the first review I have ever written because I have got dyslexia problems. I have found that Dragon naturally speaking has opened up a whole new world for me. Without this software I wouldn't be good to write this now I have had no problems with Dragon NaturallySpeaking installing it is easy. It gets you to read some phrases about 10 or 15 minutes so I can get used to your voice. It makes the occasional mistake as you are speaking to it. But I've got to say this is the best thing I have ever bought. From buying the software it has improved my life incredibly. I can do e-mails now I can go on to Facebook and for the first time ever I can write reviews. It is a must for anyone who has difficulty in in writing things down it is so great just to be older talked to the computer and it writes what you say. So I would recommend Dragon NaturallySpeaking to anyone who has difficulty in the written words.
